Onebit Solutions ("Onebit", "we", "us" or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy and personal data of everyone who visits our website or contacts us, wherever in the world they are based. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the rights you have.
We operate across Kenya, East Africa (including Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and Ethiopia), India and New Zealand. As our company and this website are based in Kenya, our processing of personal data is primarily governed by the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019 and its Regulations. We also respect and, where applicable, comply with the data protection laws of the other countries in which we operate and from which our visitors contact us.
By using this website (obsl.co.ke) or submitting any form on it, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

2. The personal data we collect
We only collect data that you choose to give us, together with limited technical data needed to run the site:
- Information you provide through our forms — your name, email address, phone number, company/organisation, the service you are interested in, your message, and (for career applications) your LinkedIn profile and any details you enter.
- Technical and usage data — your IP address, approximate location (city/region/country derived from your IP), device and browser type, the page you submitted a form from, and similar diagnostic data.
- Cookies and analytics data — see the "Cookies" section below.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data (such as health, religion or political affiliation) through this website, and we ask that you do not send such data to us via our forms.
3. How and why we use your data
We process your personal data for the following purposes:
- To respond to your enquiries, quotation requests, brochure requests and callback requests;
- To provide, quote for and deliver the ERP/SAP services you ask us about;
- To process job applications submitted through our Careers page;
- To manage our relationship with you and provide customer support;
- To improve our website, services and security (including spam and fraud prevention);
- To comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.
4. Lawful basis for processing
We rely on one or more of the following lawful bases, as recognised under the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019 and equivalent data protection laws that may apply to you:
- Consent — where you tick the consent box and submit a form, you consent to us contacting you and processing your data for the purpose of your enquiry. You may withdraw consent at any time (see "Your rights").
- Performance of a contract — where processing is necessary to provide a service you have requested.
- Legitimate interests — for running, securing and improving our business and website, in a way that does not override your rights.
- Legal obligation — where the law requires us to process data.
5. Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with parties that help us operate our business, under appropriate safeguards:
- Our team and offices in Kenya, India and New Zealand, on a need-to-know basis;
- Service providers that host our website, deliver our email, provide our lead-management/CRM tools, and provide analytics and security services (for example website analytics and Google reCAPTCHA);
- Professional advisers and authorities where required by law.
These providers process your data only on our instructions and are required to keep it secure.
6. International transfers
Because Onebit operates offices in Kenya, India and New Zealand and uses reputable international service providers, your data may be processed outside Kenya. Where this happens, we take steps consistent with the Data Protection Act, 2019 to ensure your data continues to be protected to an appropriate standard.
7. How long we keep your data
We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected, to maintain our business relationship, and to meet legal or regulatory requirements. Enquiry and lead data is retained for a reasonable period to allow follow-up, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
8. Your rights
Under the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019 — and, depending on where you are located, under other data protection laws that may apply to you — you have the right to:
- be informed of how your data is used;
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
- request deletion of your data ("right to erasure");
- object to or restrict processing;
- request a copy of your data in a portable format;
- withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@obsl.co.ke. We will respond within the timelines set by law.
9. Cookies and analytics
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, remember your preferences, measure traffic and improve performance. We use analytics tools (such as Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity) that set cookies to help us understand how visitors use the site. We also use Google reCAPTCHA on our forms to prevent spam and abuse; your use of reCAPTCHA is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
10. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Complaints
If you have a concern about how we handle your data, please contact us first at info@obsl.co.ke so we can resolve it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection authority — in Kenya, the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC) at www.odpc.go.ke, or the data protection authority in your own country.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page with its "Last updated" date.
